Are you utilising all the FREE things?
One of the biggest values in my biz is education. I was raised by two people who valued education above pretty much anything else that money can buy.
They scrimped and saved to get myself and my three siblings to "good" schools and constantly told us, "once you have education no one can ever take it away from you". Our house was PACKED with books and their response to any "I'm bored" whining when we were young, was to "find yourself a good book or teach yourself something new".
I believe that access to education is the single biggest thing that can change a life.

It's why, in my own small way, I offer free and affordable ways for small biz owners, like yourself , to up-skill or learn more about a particular topic. It's the reason I write this free weekly email, run regular affordable public classes and workshops and practical, affordable eBooks. And it's also the reason I give away a lot of quality content and useful resources.
So, in light of this I wanted to point out some tools and resources I offer for FREE, plus those from other companies, that may help you increase your knowledge in a particular area. If you have a biz friend who does not receive this email, please feel free to share this with them so they too can benefit.
In no particular order, here's four free tools you should definitely check out:
1. The My Daily Business Coach Blog
This is where you'll find a host of insights about small business, including questions to ask before outsourcing, how to set (and achieve goals) and new ways to network (that won't make you dry retch). This blog is updated every Thursday (AEST) and offers an online portal for key tools, trainings and tips.
2. The My Daily Business Coach Shop
In addition to purchasing eBooks, coaching sessions, workshop tickets and (soon!) online courses, the shop also offers a bunch of free tools which you can access here (or by clicking FREEBIES in the category at the top). To date, these include:
3. Business Podcasts
I talk about podcasts a lot and am pretty much a certified podcast junkie. I am launching my own soon (delayed somewhat due to impending baby, office build and a few other life-altering situations taking place atm #staytuned #prettyexciting!). For small biz owners, the list below is a great place to start for FREE learnings:
4. The Website Grader Tool
Regardless of what your business offers, your website is a key part of moving people from awareness to advocacy. I'm often asked by clients and students how they can improve their website and one FREE tool that's great for starting to assess this is the Website Grader from HubSpot. You simply put in your web address (note, you do not need to fill in the email section to get your result) and see what score your website gets. My site is currently around 94/100, but I think anything above 75 is good. In addition to giving you a score on things like page load time, SEO and titles, the tool also shows you exactly what you need to focus on to improve (scroll to the bottom of your results page for this in a table format). While it's not a replacement for working with a business coach or marketing strategist, it's a great first step to understanding what you could do more / less of - and it's free!
I get it . Money can be tight sometimes and not everyone is in a position to invest in business coaching, consulting or even my (very affordable!) Get It Done eBook. I hope the links above help you elevate your understanding of key business areas through education - all without having to spend a cent.
